Mark 6 New International Version
John the Baptist Beheaded
14 King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known. Some were saying, “John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him.”
16 But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised from the dead!”
Passages 14,16 and 29
17 For Herod himself had given orders to have John arrested, and he had him bound and put in prison. He did this because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. 18 For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” 19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. But she was not able to, 20 because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him.
John was preparing Herod for his death by relaxing his body and keeping Herod’s mind alert. The beheading was expected and planned. God knew of course, so did John the Baptist and Daddy Jessie. Surprisingly Herodia knew as well as she convinced her daughter to make this request in full and this persuasion is unlikely to happen without full conviction of the Good that is to take place. The daughter was excited when she returned from her mother to talk to Herod.
21 Finally the opportune time came. On his birthday Herod gave a banquet for his high officials and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee. 22 When the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests.
Herodia’s daughter was dancing in a rhythmic way and her breasts were bouncing, her hips grinding, making the dinner guests excited and peaking their appetites. They were all older men used to getting their own way and maybe experiencing sexual disfunction issues due to their age. Not all of the penises could stand erect but they knew that there were girls just like the dancer within their grasp , making their desire for food and sex strong at the banquet. The movement of her body was analog, rounded and smooth to bring about the desires of the dinner guests.
The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23 And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”
Herod stated that Herodia’s daughter could have half of eternity. As eternity is always growing forward and backwards into the future and past, also growing side ways forming historical sequences and crossing over them. The offer was always a suggestion of half that God has to offer, an eternity in hell, the dark grey abyss. Always in God’s shadow and changing without his knowledge in a realm that is without limits. True chaos as God’s attention is on the formation of creation not where it has been and the corruption within it. The fact that a kingdom is mentioned shows that two dimensional hell without limits is associated with Kings, Queens and the throne of any country. The places to be, to exert the greatest control upon a people.
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?”
“The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.
25 At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”
Platters have never been circular and are mostly rectangular with rounded or flat ends. They had handles cut into the tray or attached because they were large enough to carry an assortment of items. Herodia’s daughter was excited and full of determination that the king fullfilled this request, convinced that what she was doing was the right thing. She was trying to over power Herod’s conviction that John the Baptist was a righteous and holy man. No mother can say things to a daughter and have her obey without doubt over such an act unless it was a special request and mean’t to be.
26 The king was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27 So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28 and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother.
The head was presented to the daughter before her mother meaning that is was not in anyway disturbing before God. This beheading was planned by God before hand and was needed to bring about the resurrection of Daddy Jessie, his younger version being seen first then the adult. The passive oaths were made to John the Baptist while listening to him and the carnal desire his guests had for the daughter, food and what a beheading might do to heighten their experience.
29 On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
John the Baptists body provided the material along with Daddy Jessie’s residue to reform his body after the time dilation event and resulting nuclear blast wave.
