Your skipping rope has been broken and the frayed end is under my right foot, controlled by the ulcer. Eventually that toe is coming off but it’s clean, no infection and the muscle is intact. The skin has receded back up to the ball of my foot but surgery at the moment is not really an option, it’s an attached working big toe just without some skin. A Podiatrist is a waste of my time, there is no need to debride it, the edges of the skin have done that themselves, clean and very soft. I dress it with iodine and surgical alcohol solution and put an inch of cotton wool makeup removers, some padding over the ulcer. I am never on my feet so what is happening to my toe is more supernatural than caused by my environment.
